Welcome to the Santa Clarita Youth Rugby Club website. We have been in the Santa Clarita Valley for over 8 years and are always looking for new players. Our divisions include U10, U12, U14, U16, and U19. Our U10 and 12 are coed and we have a U16 and U19 Girls division. No experience is necessary to play rugby, all you need is a set of cleats, shorts and a mouth piece. Come out and give it a try!
I want to congratulate all of our U14 boys on winning the 2012 Southern Californian youth Rugby league! Well done chaps. This is actually a big bloody deal. You played all the best teams in the league north and south. Santa Clarita is known as a sports town and now the valley can add one more notch in it's belt. Santa Clarita is not just Awesometown and now Rugbytown, home of the Tigers!
A special thanks all the parents and sorry for all the long drives but in the end it was worth it. Also, a big thank you to coach Sam for the endless conditioning, Coach Greg, Coach Mike and our new forwards coach, coach Perry. Lastly, thank you to coach Conrad for the awesome back line input.
Parents be very proud of your players, rugby is an extremely athletic sport and there is no place for egos or slackers. These young men gave it there all and as I know most are now moving on to football. Believe me when I tell you they are ready! Players, I wish you all a very good season in what ever you are now playing and I am very grateful for all that you have done. You are the first in a long line of American Rugby players that have come through the ranks.
